Being a writer is not all sit butt in chair–write. There’s editing and details, details, details. You mold, you shape your rough draft until, as Stephen King has said (I paraphrase), you’ve gone over the damn work so many times you just want the smelly old thing to go away.
My latest Two Bit Western for Jigsaw Press was all of that. Nine freaking months in the making, too. But while I was sweating the details out of #9, I wrote the draft for #10, Will Branch; and got a good opening on #11, as yet untitled.
I’m pleased to announce my ninth installment of the Eli Stone series, published today by Jigsaw Press.
